Drunken Hearts

Bio

Drunken Hearts is the Alt-Country/Americana outfit led by Louisiana-born, Colorado-raised songwriter Andrew McConathy. Bottling outlaw country grit, poetic storytelling, and cosmic rock energy, their sound carries Rocky Mountain starlight, Southern heat, and the ache of old souls. Drunken Hearts’ music feels like prayer and wildfire at the same time. After years on the road and a journey through loss and rebirth, McConathy sings with an unflinching voice, shaped but not broken by pain and suffering, rooted somewhere between wonder and the highs and lows of the human experience.

Drawing from his southern roots and mountain wide-open sky, McConathy writes with gravitational heart, hope, clarity, and spirit. The band's latest single, “The Other Side,” featuring Bonnie Sims (Big Richard / Everybody Loves an Outlaw), is a punch of truth — a tribute to founding drummer Ted Welles and a reckoning with memory that marks the start of something fierce. A testament to resilience, rebirth, and the place where Truth meets Twang, Drunken Hearts makes music built on stories — honest, human, and unafraid.
